LORD OF THE SUN (5) finished 0. 7 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over 6½f at this track, an improvement on his fifth at Mudgee the run before. Has a good record at this course and distance, including a win and two minor placings. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. SNATCHREILLY (2) was prominent on the corner and battled on well to finish third last start over 5f at Tamworth, beaten a neck. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot take this out. SOOBOOCO (1) defied his big price last time when beaten just a neck into second over 5½f at this track. One of the main contenders. PROVENCAL (8) has not won for a long while. Last raced on April 10 when beaten one length into fourth at Wellington over 5f. Suitably placed so anticipating a bold performance.
