ROCKY RIDE (4) finished fourth two runs back at Grafton then improved last time out to score by 0.9 lengths over 5f at Grafton. Likely to be there at the finish again. AWESOME MISS (1) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 5 lengths away in sixth last time out over 4f at Coffs Harbour. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. SERIFICE (8) led to the turn over 6f at Walcha last time out but faded to finish tenth. Has never been out of the money in four starts here at this trip, including a win. Has claims on her best efforts. MAGIC SHOT (2) is back from a lay-off of four months. Closed last prep as a winner, taking out a 7¼f contest at Quirindi by 0.7 lengths. Is lightly raced and looks forward enough after a solid recent trial. One of the better chances.
