CHEVAL SAVANT (4) finished 3 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1m2f at Mornington after being prominent at the turn three-and-a-half weeks ago as 5/2 favourite. Steps up in journey. Should be poised just off the lead. Best form puts him right in this. FERAGO (1) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m2 1/4f at Mt Gambier, beaten 5 lengths into sixth. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. FIFTYSEVENYEARS (6) finished fourth two runs back at Hamilton then improved last time out to score by a nose after being in the firing line on the bend over 1m1 1/4f at Kyneton. Looks well placed so expect another big run. VEGAS KNIGHT (7) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 0.7 lengths from the winner in third over 1m3f at Sapphire Coast. No surprise to see him in the frame.
