ST PATS DAY (12) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 1.75 lengths away in fifth last time out over 7f at Terang. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is good enough to play a major role. WAREO ROAD (3) strode forward early from his wide draw over 5½f at Benalla last time, leading for much of the way before fading to finish fourth. Will take catching again. CHILLI TYCOON (6) got off the mark over 5f at Werribee last start, scoring by a nose. Must be respected now that the penny has dropped. ARCTIC GIRL (9) sat on the pace when fresh from a lay-off last start but faded to be beaten 6 lengths when sixth over 5f at Cranbourne. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. One of the better hopes.
