CHECKTHEMENU (1) is coming along nicely this prep. Finished seventh when fresh from a lay-off two starts back at this track then improved and scored over 5½f at this track a month ago, getting home by a head after being prominent at the turn. Looks well placed so expect another big run. GRINZINGER LASS (3) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 10 starts. Was again denied last start when she found a couple better over 5½f at this track. In the right race and there is no reason she cannot get the major prize. BON'S A LAD (6) showed good early dash at the first run after a lay-off last time out and led for most of the way before being claimed and finishing 1.75 lengths away in third over 5½f at this track. One of the main contenders. ONLY THE BEST (2) turned in a much better effort last time out to score by 0.8 lengths over 5½f at this track. Well placed to feature in the finish again.
