BOYFRIEND (1) started at 7/2 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 0.9 lengths at Gundagai over 5f196yards. Goes up a rung or two but he is good enough to turn things around. TALUK (9) booted up from the inside draw to race on the speed only to be claimed late and finish 1.3 lengths away in fourth last start over 6½f at Wagga. Solid top-three prospects.
