AVOIDANCE (2) showed early speed from an outside draw and held a forward position before fading to finish sixth, beaten 3.5 lengths, last start over 6f at Ascot. Will go forward and is expected to be in the finish. FRANTIC WAR (5) raced on the speed and kept going to score by a long neck last time out over 5f at Mt Barker. Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. MORGS FREEMAN (4) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 8 lengths when 12th over 6f32yards at this track three-and-a-half weeks ago. Tackling a more suitable race this time so he is a major player. AGENT JAY (3) is a last-start winner over 7½f at this track, showing good early speed on the occasion and leading throughout to score by a long neck. Solid prospects again.
