OPTIMAL (1) is still a maiden after 16 runs and despite that was well fancied last time but couldn't quite get over the line, finishing a close third over 7½f at this track. Blinkers have been removed. Should be in the finish. MY IDOL (6) faced the starter for the first time and finished fifth last start at Pinjarra over 6½f, beaten 0.9 lengths. Better for the run and can improve sharply. PARC IT IN HERE (4) was out of the money on debut two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he settled well back over 6f32yards at this track, beaten 4 lengths into fifth. Nicely placed to break the maiden status. MAYBE DIVINE (7) settled at the rear then stoked up nicely in the straight to finish fourth over 7½f here last time. Should prove tough to hold out.
