16:18 (York) Aesterius
14:10 (York) American Affair
American Affair looks a progressive sprinter with a bright future.
Trained by Jim Goldie and appeared to have plenty in hand when scoring at Musselburgh 26 days ago so a 4lb rise in the weights might not be enough to prevent a follow-up in the Lindum York Handicap.
Second that day JM Jungle is a previous course and distance winner and must be respected.
Topweight Shagraan holds strong claims racing off the same mark as when third at Goodwood (5f) making reappearance thirteen days ago.#
First-time cheekpieces saw Spartan Arrow score in fine style at Epsom. Can produce a bold bid off this revised rating. Pilgrim also makes for plenty of appeal.
14:25 (Salisbury) Media Mogul
Media Mogul bids for a hat-trick following victories at Wolverhampton and Redcar over the distance.
Up in grade for this contest for the Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai 'City Bowl' Handicap and should be respected.
Macari placed third tackling this trip at Goodwood 13 days ago. An attractive claiming jockey makes him competitive. May place.
Salsada placed third on previous flat start last season. Provided successful jumping campaign in the interim. Possibilities.
Kotari can be excused for a ninth on seasonal reappearance at Epsom Downs. Not discounted.
14:42 (York) Blue For You
Three-time course and distance winner Blue For You looked to have the perfect prep for this when third at Haydock on return. Ready and well-drawn in gate four in the Oakmere Homes Hambleton Handicap.
Romieu impressed winning for new connections in a Redcar (1m) novice event 24 days ago and commands respect making handicap debut.
Old Cock disappointed when last of twenty two at Doncaster returning in March. Could leave that effort well-behind representing a stable who won this twelve months ago.
Dropping back in distance on quicker ground looks interesting for Sisyphean who requires a market check with Ryan Moore booked.
15:13 (York) Doha
Ralph Beckett won this last season with a subsequent Arc winner and can repeat the feat with Doha.
The five-year-old impressed winning a Saint-Cloud Listed event before struggling in the G1 Qipco British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes. Could have more to offer this season in the Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Middleton Fillies' Stakes.
Runner-up in the G1 Nassau Stakes last year See The travelled well before fading out of contention when fifth in the G3 Gordon Richards Stakes at Sandown. Must be considered with that run under her belt.
Beautiful Love shaped as though she would come on for the outing when a good third in the G2 Dahlia Stakes at Newmarket (Rowley) eleven days ago.
Nakheel drops in trip on her first start since winning the G2 Park Hill Fillies Stakes at Doncaster last year.
15:45 (York) The Lion In Winter
Current G1 Epsom Derby favourite The Lion In Winter is trained by Aidan O'Brien. Not seen since beating Wimbledon Hawkeye over 7f here in the G3 Acomb Stakes last August.
Might have too much class for his rivals now up in trip for the Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Dante Stakes, while the Wimbledon Hawkeye provided excellent form in defeat since and arrives with fitness on side after keeping on for fifth attempting the G1 2000 Guineas at Newmarket earlier this month.
Charlie Appleby-trains Alpine Trail who is supplemented for this on the back of his smooth win in the Listed Newmarket Stakes and must be considered as he bids to remain undefeated.
Fellow unbeaten contender Tuscan Hills is also worth a second look representing top connections.
16:18 (York) Aesterius
Aesterius brings standout form to the British Stallion Studs Ebf Westow Stakes having landed the G2 Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster last season.
Ground conditions to suit and could prove tough to beat on his first start since finishing a rock-solid sixth in the G1 Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint during November.
Tropical Storm was behind the main selection in that Doncaster event last season. Could go well if building on a fair sixth place reappearance effort in the G3 Palace House Stakes at Newmarket (Rowley) recently.
The improving filly Star Of Mehmas may go well revisiting turf with Ryan Moore booked. Mr Lightside cannot be discounted.
