16:10 (Newmarket) Stellenbosch

16:45 (Newmarket) Spanish Voice

17:20 (Newmarket) Ten Pounds

(ITV 4 races with *)

13:50 (Newmarket) Double Rush

There could be more to come from the unexposed recent Wolverhampton maiden winner Double Rush who looked raw winning on seasonal reappearance sixteen days ago.

Interesting that connections have pitched him into this making Bet365 Handicap debut.

Charlie Appleby trains Al Misbar who might be suited by dropping to 6f and cannot be ignored on his first start since finishing a good second in a handicap over 7f here during October.

The Dragon King won a track and trip handicap when last seen six and a half months ago. Remains unexposed.

Handicap debutant Defence Minister is interesting down in grade having finished last of six attempting the G1 Middle Park Stakes here last season.

14:25 (Newmarket) Altareq

John and Thady Gosden have won two of the last four renewals of this and they saddle two interesting contenders in the shape of Altareq and Caughtredhanded for the Bet365 Wood Ditton Maiden Stakes.

Altareq looks the part on paper and is narrowly selected to make a winning debut while the latter commands respect for top connections.

Sea The Stars colt Muhaajim warrants respect with Spy Kingdom and High Stock both of note bringing eye-catching pedigrees.

15:00 (Newmarket) Romantic Style

It very much looks as though a 6f campaign is going to be on the cards for Romantic Style.

Finished fourth in the G1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches last year and travelled well before quickening away to score among Listed company at Meydan 75 days ago.

Could claim the Blandford Bloodstock Abernant Stakes if in similar form back on home soil.

French-trained raider Sajir holds some smart form and may take a step forward from his reappearance success in a conditions event at Chantilly last month.

Run To Freedom was runner-up in the 2023 G1 July Cup Stakes. Holds major claims allowing for absence of 363 days off the track.

Lethal Levi also warrants some consideration.

15:35 (Newmarket) Aomori City

The Group 3 Craven Stakes is a fascinating contest.

Charlie Appleby trains Aomori City who was unlucky to lose coming home late when third in the G1 Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf at Del Mar during October. Could make amends here under first-choice rider William Buick.

Unbeaten stablemate Opera Ballo arrives following two impressive AW wins at Kempton and must be respected.

Field Of Gold may appreciate stepping up to 1m on his first start since finishing fourth in the G1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere at Longchamp.

New Century brings G1 winning form from Canada and was only one spot behind the main selection in the aforementioned Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf.

Wimbledon Hawkeye also needs to be included.

16:10 (Newmarket) Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch is a Richard Hannon trained filly who sets the standard for the Rossdales Maiden Fillies' Stakes after finishing third at Newbury and Newmarket both starts last season.

William Haggas trains newcomer Seren Star. Could prove the main danger with an appealing pedigree.

Blazing Spirit shaped quite nicely when fourth tackling this trip at Southwell 61 days ago. In the mix if building on that.

Elizabeth Bay cannot be dismissed representing winning trainer.

16:45 (Newmarket) Spanish Voice

Spanish Voice caught the eye when third over 1m at Kempton on debut in December and could go better in the Bet365 Ebf "Confined" Novice Stakes.

Andrew Balding enjoyed a four-timer at Newbury last Saturday and his unexposed Lope De Vega colt is considered now stretching out to 1m2f.

Push The Limit won at Kempton on debut late last year and warrants respect representing powerful connections.

Valedictory commands respect after being denied a neck when a promising third debuting at Doncaster in September.

The well-bred Scotland looks the pick of newcomers.

17:20 (Newmarket) Ten Pounds

Soft ground could have been the undoing for Ten Pounds when he was only seventh at Doncaster in September.

The Harry Charlton trained four-year-old was progressive over 7f prior to that and may rediscover winning ways in the Watch Live Racing At Bet365 Handicap.

Fifty Nifty also held an improving profile last season. Needs consideration on first start since a 0.5L success over this distance on the July Course in August.

Bottom weight Fahrenheit Seven brings race fitness following a win at Pontefract (5f) eight days ago and cannot be ruled out up in both trip and class.

Miss Information completes the shortlist.
