Friday ITV racing tips: Best free bets for York Dante Festival and Newbury on May 16

The Group 2 Yorkshire Cup (1545) is the big highlight of Friday's action, but let's not ignore the four other cracking contests from the Knavesmire.

Harry's Girl looked like a nice prospect when winning first time out at Newmarket a month ago and must enter calculations for Richard Hannon, while Eternal Solace makes each-way appeal.

14:25 (Newbury) Sweet Reward

Sweet Reward came out on top of a course and distance handicap last month on first appearance this season. Looks to quickly double up.

Burrito won nicely on debut before placing second at Chester last September. Represents a leading yard. Dangerous.

Prometeo bids for a four-timer after wins at Doncaster, Kempton and Southwell with the latter won narrowly by a nose. Interesting following a break.

Beauld As Brass hopes to land five-in-a-row with the latest win coming last Saturday at Leicester. Carries a penalty but can defy.

14:42 (York) Flying Frontier

Flying Frontier could still have plenty more to offer as an unexposed five-year-old in the Knights Solicitors Handicap.

The James Tate-trained son of Farhh looked value for more than the neck winning margin when scoring over this trip at Sandown in August and may be capable of making a winning return of 2lb higher.

A 2lb higher mark also shouldn't prevent a bold bid from Tony Montana, who made a pleasing reappearance when second over this trip at Goodwood thirteen days ago.

Salamanca got the run of the race when scoring in a competitive handicap at Newcastle (1m2f) last time but cannot be ignored with an unexposed profile.

Thunder Run retains plenty of potential for a leading stable, while Austrian Theory also needs to be included.

15:13 (York) Gulya

Gulya remains a maiden after two outings to date. Can get off the mark in the Sky Bet Fillies' Stakes despite stepping up in class.

The Roger Varian-trained filly was unlucky not to land a decent novice event (no run against the rail) at Ascot returning sixteen days ago. May win here.

Impressive Newbury debut winner Consecrated commands respect racing for top connections.

Kon Tiki took her record to two victories from as many starts securing a nice success at Kempton (1m) 37 days ago. Not to be ruled out making her turf debut.

Fellow unbeaten rival Glittering Surf has won twice over 1m at Kempton and also needs to be considered.

15:45 (York) Rebel's Romance

Seven-time G1 winner Rebel's Romance can handle the journey giving weight away to all his rivals in the Yorskhire Cup.

The Charlie Appleby-trained globetrotting star finished fourth defending his G1 Dubai Sheema Classic crown at Meydan 41 days ago and arrives with race fitness onside.

Sweet William finished behind star stayer Kyprios for a third time when runner-up in the G2 Qipco British Champions Long Distance Cup. Could prove the main danger on his first start for 209 days.

Continuous disappointed in the G2 Dubai Gold Cup at Meydan last month. Can easily bounce back in the first-time blinkers for Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore.

16:15 (York) The Quiet Gent

The Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Handicap is a fierce three-year-old handicap.

The Quiet Gent didn't do much wrong when turned over at short odds at Ripon on his reappearance 29 days ago.

The Ralph Beckett-trained son of Mehmas retains potential making handicap debut under Rossa Ryan from stall twelve.

Impressive recent Thirsk winner Against The Wind may get involved off this revised rating.

Elouise's Prince created a nice impression carrying a penalty to victory at Wolverhampton in November. Interesting delivering initial turf and handicap outing.
