ATP Miami Open: Andy Murray vs Matteo Berrettini

While Andy Murray and Matteo Berrettini have clashed five times in ATP Tour singles action, the most recent meeting was at last season's first-round match at the Australian Open.

Murray won that encounter in five sets, but the match took it out of him and he will not have forgotten that.

Berrettini leads the overall head-to-head 3-2, although Murray is ahead 2-1 on hard courts.

The Italian is making his ATP Tour season debut, having only played the Phoenix Challenger event this term.

ATP Miami Open: Arthur Fils vs Matteo Arnaldi

In both their previous singles clashes, Arthur Fils has taken Matteo Arnaldi the distance but come up short.

Fils and Arnaldi are both young players on the rise, but the Frenchman will want to pull a win back in this rivalry.

Fils has the marginally better record this season, though Arnaldi has just two fewer wins to his credit.

Arnaldi got a big win over Taylor Fritz in Acapulco but hasn't followed that up very well.

ATP Miami Open: Jack Draper vs Taro Daniel

Jack Draper should have the beating of Taro Daniel in the first-ever meeting between the players.

Draper has been in better touch this term and came close to an ATP Tour final before injury struck in his semi-final showdown with eventual champion Alex De Minaur in Acapulco.

Draper lost first-up at Indian Wells and will be out to bounce back to get his season rolling again.

Daniel won his first-round match at Indian Wells before coming unstuck against De Minaur in the second round.

ATP Miami Open: Lorenzo Sonego vs Daniel Evans

Daniel Evans will be out to snap a three-match losing streak against Lorenzo Sonego.

Evans should be the better player on hard, but in head-to-head clashes, that hasn't worked out.

Miami provides conditions that Evans might thrive in, although Sonego does know how to unpick the Brit.

Evans lost to Sonego in three sets in Miami last season, giving him that extra drive for revenge.

ATP Miami Open: Martin Damm Jr vs Zhizhen Zhang

Young American wildcard Martin Damm Jr will have his work cut out trying to upset Zhizhen Zhang.

Zhang has struggled to string wins together this season, but the World No 204 Damm has yet to make an ATP Tour appearance this season.

Damm came closest to the main draw in Marseille, where he lost in the final qualifying round.

Zhang has much more tour experience and shouldn't lose this kind of match.

ATP Miami Open: Max Purcell vs Marton Fucsovics

Max Purcell and Marton Fucsovics are set to enjoy their first head-to-head match on the ATP Tour in Miami.

Purcell has the rankings edge over the veteran Hungarian, but Fucsovics is having a slightly better season.

Purcell has lost his last three matches in a row, with first-round exits at Indian Wells and Acapulco.

Fucsovics lost in the first round in Dubai, having come through qualifying in his last ATP Tour appearance.

ATP Miami Open: Miomir Kecmanovic vs Juncheng Shang

While Miomir Kecmanovic has the rankings edge over Juncheng Shang, this one smells of an upset.

Kecmanovic has lost two in a row on the tour, meanwhile, Shang has recently reached a new career high.

Shang enjoyed a run to the third round of the Australian Open and has also beaten Frances Tiafoe this season.

It wouldn't be the first time this season that Kecmanovic has lost to a player outside of the top 100.

ATP Miami Open: Rinky Hijikata vs Botic Van De Zandschulp

In another first-round meeting between players struggling for form Botic Van De Zandschulp will be expected to overcome Rinky Hijikata.

Just four rankings places separate these players after the Dutchman's slow start to the season.

Hijikata enjoyed a run to the last eight in Delray Beach but otherwise hasn't been notching the wins at a great rate.

Van De Zandschulp has won just four matches this season but is a player of at least top-50 quality on his day.
