Iga Swiatek v Elena Rybakina
Although Iga Swiatek has cruised through her opening matches without dropping a set, this fourth-round clash with Elena Rybakina could bring her smooth run to a halt.
Rybakina impressed in a straight-sets dismissal of Jelena Ostapenko and is building serious momentum in Paris. Her powerful serve and aggressive groundstrokes are the kind that can disrupt Swiatek’s rhythm, something she’s done before.
The Kazakh has beaten Swiatek twice on clay, including wins in Rome (2023) and Stuttgart (2024), giving her a psychological edge ahead of this showdown. The slower surface hasn’t dulled her weapons, and the forecasted warm weather should play into her hands.
At a generous price, she’s well worth backing to repeat the upset and book a place in the quarter-finals.
Carlos Alcaraz v Ben Shelton
Carlos Alcaraz remains among the favourites to lift the trophy, but this test against Ben Shelton may not be as routine as the odds suggest.
Shelton has one of the biggest serves on tour and has proven difficult to break, even for elite opponents. He arrives fresh, having benefited from a second-round walkover before dispatching Matteo Gigante emphatically.
While Alcaraz has a 2-0 record against the American, both meetings featured tight sets, and even a straight-sets loss could still see Shelton eclipse this line. A scoreline like 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 would be enough for this bet to land.
With Alcaraz needing four sets to get past Damir Dzumhur on Friday, there’s every reason to believe Shelton can make his mark.
TIP: Shelton over 11.5 total games won – 10/13
Lorenzo Musetti v Holger Rune
Lorenzo Musetti enters this contest in fine form and with serious credentials on clay, having made deep runs in Monte Carlo, Madrid and Rome during a strong European spring.
While Holger Rune has taken both of their previous meetings, they came on hard courts, and this slower surface plays more to Musetti’s strengths. The Italian's flair, touch and ability to construct points make him a dangerous proposition on the red dirt.
Rune has struggled to assert himself consistently during this clay swing, and Musetti’s recent performances suggest he’s capable of grinding out another high-quality win.
Expect a tight battle, but one where Musetti has the tools to edge it.
