Tuesday-tennis acca tips: Stars out to hit winning streak in Doha

The stars have come out from the first WTA 1000 event of the season in Doha while the men's tour scatters in the wind. Can we find you a winning acca on Tuesday, February 13?

While the women's tour sits tight in Qatar, the ATP Tour has stops in Rotterdam, Delray Beach and Buenos Aires this week.

Here we make out picks for a handful of matches to help you put together your accumulator.

ATP Rotterdam: Alejandro Davidovich Fokina vs Jan-Lennard Struff | Pick: Davidovich Fokina

ATP Rotterdam: Alex De Minaur vs Sebastian Korda | Pick: De Minaur

ATP Delray Beach: Marcos Giron vs Emilio Nava | Pick: Giron

ATP Delray Beach: Rinky Hijikata vs Liam Broady | Pick: Hijikata

WTA Doha: Katerina Siniakova vs Cori Gauff | Pick: Gauff

WTA Doha: Ons Jabeur vs Lesia Tsurenko | Pick: Jabeur

WTA Doha: Erika Andreeva vs Ekaterina Alexandrova | Pick: Alexandrova

WTA Doha: Lin Zhu vs Elena Rybakina | Pick: Rybakina

ATP Rotterdam: Alejandro Davidovich Fokina vs Jan-Lennard Struff

Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Jan-Lennard Struff are set to engage in their first-ever ATP Tour match-up.

In the past 12 months, Davidovich Fokina has a 19-13 match record on hard courts.

Davidovich Fokina reached the last eight of the Open 13 Provence, where he lost 1-6, 4-6 to eventual champion Ugo Humbert.

Struff is 12-11 in 11 tournaments on hard courts over the past 12 months and hasn't played a singles tournament since the Australian Open.

ATP Rotterdam: Alex De Minaur vs Sebastian Korda

The two players' two meetings at the tour level have been evenly divided.

In the first battle at Wimbledon in 2021, Korda defeated the Australian in a fourth-set tiebreak, but De Minaur prevailed in their only hardcourt encounter, winning in straight sets in the 2022 Paris Masters first round.

The American moves well for his height and is a strong server and huge hitter from either wing.

Although De Minaur is a master counterpuncher, he is not the most aggressive of ball strikers.

ATP Delray Beach: Marcos Giron vs Emilio Nava

Marcos Giron will be out to back up a run to the final in Dallas last week with a strong display at Delray Beach.

This will be the second meeting between the compatriots with Giron winning the first encounter.

That meeting came on the Challenger tour meaning this will be their first clash in a full ATP Tour match.

Giron should have his younger countryman comfortably matched in this contest.

ATP Delray Beach: Rinky Hijikata vs Liam Broady

Australia's Rinky Hijikata and Britain's Liam Broady go toe-to-toe for the first time in their careers.

Broady has just one ATP Tour main draw win to his name this season and looks to be up against it in this one.

Hijikata has lost in his only clash with a British player this season going down to Dan Evans in Adelaide.

Broady does have two qualifying wins to his name this season but Hijikata's form has just been better.

WTA Doha: Katerina Siniakova vs Cori Gauff

Katerina Siniakova and Coco Gauff have already met six times on the WTA Tour.

Gauff has won five of those encounters and will surely be favoured to power to a sixth in Doha.

Siniakova has what little edge she could derive from having already played in Doha, defeating Donna Vekic in the opening round.

Gauff is turning out for the first time since her loss in the Australian Open last four.

WTA Doha: Ons Jabeur vs Lesia Tsurenko

Jabeur comes into the match straight off a heartbreaking loss against Beatriz Haddad Maia, in the Abu Dhabi WTA Women's Tennis Open quarter-finals.

Tsurenko defeated Zeynep Sonmez, ranked 184th, on Sunday to advance to the Round of 32 here in Doha and has the winning rub at least.

Back at the Credit One Charleston Open Round of 32 in 2015, Jabeur and Tsurenko faced each other in what has been their only clash.

In that match, Jabeur secured a simple win and she will be out to do the same.

WTA Doha: Erika Andreeva vs Ekaterina Alexandrova

Although Erika Andreeva and Ekaterina Alexandrova have never met, their paths crossing in Doha could be significant.

In the current WTA rankings, Alexandrova is placed 19th, while Andreeva is rated 112th but is on the up.

Before this competition, both players had been in outstanding form, with Alexandrova winning seven and Andreeva winning eight of her previous ten matches.

The fact that Andreeva has recently won more second-serve points on hard courts adds further greater intrigue to this match-up.

WTA Doha: Lin Zhu vs Elena Rybakina

Elena Rybakina, ranked fourth, and Lin Zhu, ranked fifty-seven, will play each other in the Qatar Total Open 2021 Round of 32 on Tuesday.

Zhu ranks 132nd in break point wins over the last 12 months and has converted 124 of 284 break points (43.7%) on hard courts in that time.

Given Rybakina's excellent service game, the Chinese star may be in serious difficulty.

Over the last 12 months, Rybakina has a 35-10 record on hard courts and has won three tournaments.
