ATP Indian Wells: Alexander Zverev vs Alex De Minaur

Alex de Minaur has traditionally struggled to get the better of Alexander Zverev.

Zverev has won six of the eight past meetings between the players although the Aussie does have a United Cup win over the German from January.

De Minaur was the only player to beat Zverev in singles at the United Cup and is on a winning streak.

De Minaur heads into the match having won his last seven matches making this one very tough to call.

ATP Indian Wells: Ben Shelton vs Jannik Sinner

Ben Shelton and Jannik Sinner are set to share the court for a blockbuster last-16 meeting at Indian Wells which will be their third career match.

Shelton and Sinner have each taken one of the previous two meetings which came within 15 days last October.

Sinner has since gone on to become a Grand Slam Champion but Shelton has also made progress.

Sinner has breezed into the last 16 while Shelton has needed three sets for both his wins.

ATP Indian Wells: Fabian Marozsan vs Carlos Alcaraz

Carlos Alcaraz will be out to avenge a previous Masters series defeat to Fabian Maroszan sustained in Rome last term when they meet at Indian Wells.

Alcaraz still needs to prove his full fitness and this will be just the match to test him.

Alcaraz appeared to respond well to challenges in the first two rounds but it remains to see how he holds up after more time on court.

Maroszan has had to work hard to reach this stage and could just find himself being outrun by Alcaraz.

ATP Indian Wells: Jiri Lehecka vs Stefanos Tsitsipas

Stefanos Tsitsipas has had Jiri Lehecka's number in their two previous meetings.

Lehecka might have learned a lot from those losses though and could be out to add another top-20 win to his record.

Lehecka has accounted for one seed already with his win over Andrey Rublev.

Tsitsipas will have to find his best form to win here and it could just get his season going.

WTA Indian Wells: Anastasia Potapova vs Jasmine Paolini

The newest WTA 1000 champion Jasmine Paolini has a chance to reach another last eight in the elite bracket.

Anastasia Potapova is yet to drop a set at Indian Wells though and this could be a tight contest indeed.

Paolini was taken to three sets in the second round but Anna Kalinskaya has been in good touch.

That tough contest could steel Paolini to secure another big win and progress to the quarters.

WTA Indian Wells: Angelique Kerber vs Caroline Wozniacki

Veterans, friends and fellow mums on tour, Angelique Kerber and Caroline Wozniacki battle for a quarter-final spot that would mean a lot to either player.

Both former Grand Slam winners have had their struggles during their comeback runs in recent months.

They have clashed 15 times before but haven't met in a match since 2018.

Kerber currently shades the head-to-head by 8-7 and as played more matches this season than Wozniacki.

WTA Indian Wells: Iga Swiatek vs Yulia Putintseva

Iga Swiatek can extend a winning streak over Yulia Putintseva into a third match in this meeting.

Swiatek is also out to secure her 17th win of the season having lost just twice this year.

Putintseva has played just one fewer match than Swiatek but already has seven losses to her name.

Putintseva is a handy player who could test Swiatek but the world No 1 should prevail.

WTA Indian Wells: Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova vs Marta Kostyuk

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Marta Kostyuk have gone 1-1 over their two meetings.

However, the Ukrainian star won the last meeting in San Diego less than two weeks ago.

Kostyuk will be out to maintain a great start to her season and make her fourth quarter-final of the year.

Veteran Pavlyuchenkova cannot be written off but Kostyuk looks to be the value option here.
