ATP Miami Open: Andy Murray vs Tomas Martin Etcheverry

Murray trails Etcheverry 2-1 in their head-to-head and most recently suffered a straight sets loss to the Argentine in Melbourne.

The Scot will have to be a lot better than he was on that day to stay in the Miami Open.

Etcheverry has been out for a month after he retired hurt during the Argentina Open.

The Argentine enjoyed a bye through the first round while Murray battled past Matteo Berrettini in the Round of 128.

ATP Miami Open: Denis Shapovalov vs Stefanos Tsitsipas

Denis Shapovalov holds a 3-2 lead in head-to-head matches against Miami Open No 10 seed Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Tsitsipas won the last match between the players in Barcelona last term, but Shapovalov bested the Greek when they last met in Miami.

Shapovalov's season start has been hampered by injury and he comes into the clash with a 5-7 win-loss record.

Tsitsipas hasn't lit up the tour this campaign but has bagged a respectable 11 wins and should have the quality to come through this encounter.

ATP Miami Open: Andrea Vavassori vs Jannik Sinner

Jannik Sinner meets compatriot Andrea Vavassori who has come through qualifying and beaten Pedro Cachin to reach this stage.

Sinner is in action for the first time since losing to Carlos Alcaraz in the Indian Wells semi-finals.

While Vavassori is the senior player in years, Sinner is a Grand Slam winner and is ranked 145 places above his countryman.

That Vavassori has already played three matches in Miami will help him but it likely won't be enough.

ATP Miami Open: Alexander Bublik vs Matteo Arnaldi

Alexander Bublik will be out to ensure the Italian contingent shrinks further when he faces Matteo Arnaldi.

Arnaldi has shown glimpses of great promise this term but Bublik holds a big edge in power.

Bublik is at a career-high ranking and looks to be a player on the up.

He has the weapons to challenge the best and should put Arnaldi away in straight sets.

WTA Miami Open: Coco Gauff vs Nadia Podoroska

Coco Gauff would do well not to underestimate Nadia Podoroska, who defeated her American countrywoman Ashlyn Krueger in the first round.

Podoroska enjoyed a run to the third round at Indian Wells but didn't meet a seeded player until her loss against Anastasia Potapova.

Gauff was a semi-finalist in the desert and will hold high ambitions in Miami.

Gauff should have the game to see off Podoroska but she will want to be as clinical as possible.

WTA Miami Open: Naomi Osaka vs Elina Svitolina

Recent new mums Naomi Osaka and Elina Svitolina do battle for a place in the third round.

Svitolina has been back for longer and found better form and looks justifiable as a favourite.

This will be their seventh meeting in singles action but their first in over five years.

The head-to-head is locked at 3-3 but Svitolina looks good to take the lead in their rivalry.

WTA Miami Open: Elina Avanesyan vs Ons Jabeur

Ons Jabeur has a chance to get her season back on track after a dreadful start to 2024.

Jabeur has just two match wins to her name this term and faces a player who has a 5-5 record to start.

Jabeur is on a three-match losing streak and has been struggling with injuries.

If she is fully fit, Jabeur should carry the day in this one.

WTA Miami Open: Iga Swiatek vs Camila Giorgi

Iga Swiatek and Camila Giorgi will have their first clash outside of Melbourne, when they meet in Miami.

The players have split two Australian Open matches and will contest a Round of 64 match, at the WTA 1000 event.

Swiatek is on a six-match winning streak and could join Steffi Graf as the only woman to claim a Sunshine Double twice.

Giorgi beat Swiatek's compatriot Magdelena Frech, in the first round but will find the world No 1 a step up.
