ATP Tour Finals tips: Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic backed to make history in Turin

Planet Sport presents picks and suggested bets for the ATP Tour Finals last four.

Three men have the capacity to stop Novak Djokovic from sweeping to his seventh ATP Tour Finals title and a new record.

Before Djokovic is in action on Saturday, it will be Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev who do battle for a place in the final.

Medvedev won this championship in 2020, and reached the final in 2021 and faces a man making his full Finals debut.

Sinner played as an alternate without any hope of progression in his finals debut but has gone unbeaten through the group stage.

Djokovic faces Carlos Alcaraz on Saturday evening, looking to book another final at the prestigious event.

The world No 1 has been beaten this week by Sinner but is out to build on his fantastic late-season form.

ATP Tour Finals semi-final: Jannik Sinner vs Daniil Medvedev | Pick: Sinner

ATP Tour Finals semi-final: Carlos Alcaraz Garfia vs Novak Djokovic | Pick: Djokovic

Tournament Winner

  • Novak Djokovic
  • 6/4
  • Jannik Sinner
  • 11/4
  • Carlos Alcaraz
  • 3/1
  • Daniil Medvedev
  • 7/2

ATP Tour Finals semi-final: Jannik Sinner vs Daniil Medvedev

Sinner trails Medvedev by 2-6 in their head-to-head, but both of his wins have come in his most recent matches against Medvedev, including one indoors in Vienna not long ago.

Four of the meetings between these players have gone to three sets, and this one should follow that pattern, given how well both players are playing.

Sinner has won opening set tiebreaks in each of his last two meetings with Medvedev and might just be good money to get that same feat done again.

Being short for an unqualified win, Sinner could be worth backing to take this match by two sets to one.

ATP Tour Finals semi-final: Carlos Alcaraz Garfia vs Novak Djokovic

Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic have already had three memorable clashes this year, with the Serbian twice coming out on top.

Djokovic may have lost to Sinner in the group, but Alcaraz also stuttered with a shock loss to Alexander Zverev.

Djokovic has been brilliant in tiebreaks this season, and we are almost sure to see one at some point in this match.

If the second set is won by Djokovic, it might well be that he takes it 7-6.
