ATP Finals acca: Novak Djokovic to bounce back from Jannik Sinner loss

Novak Djokovic
Planet Sport presents picks for the midweek action at the ATP Tour Finals in Turin.
The midweek action at the ATP Tour finals could go a long way towards deciding who makes it into the last four.
Carlos Alcaraz kicks off the action on Wednesday when he faces Andrey Rublev in a match both men need to win.
Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev could move to the brink of the semi-finals with victory, but only one man can come out on top.
Jannik Sinner faces a challenge in a relatively fresh Holger Rune as he chases a clean sweep of group play and an assured spot in the last four.
Novak Djokovic will benefit from knowing exactly what he needs to achieve against alternate Hubert Hurkacz in his final pool match on Thursday evening.
ATP Tour World Finals: Carlos Alcaraz Garfia vs Andrey Rublev | Pick: Alcaraz
ATP Tour World Finals: Daniil Medvedev vs Alexander Zverev | Pick: Medvedev
ATP Tour World Finals: Jannik Sinner vs Holger Rune | Pick: Sinner
ATP Tour World Finals: Novak Djokovic vs Hubert Hurkacz | Pick: Djokovic
ATP Tour World Finals: Carlos Alcaraz Garfia vs Andrey Rublev
Carlos Alcaraz's first finals campaign hangs in the balance after he lost to Alexander Zverev in the opening round.
Alcaraz might have been guilty of underestimating his opponent and will need to be similarly wary and Andrey Rublev, who can be especially tough to counter when he gets on top.
Rather incredibly, this is the first meeting between these players at any level.
Alcaraz will be out to complete a straight-sets win to help his chances of progressing to the last four.
ATP Tour World Finals: Daniil Medvedev vs Alexander Zverev
Daniil Medvedev currently tops the group ahead of Alexander Zverev but could see the German soar past him if he can't be put away in Turin.
Medvedev looked as comfortable as anyone on court in his first triumph over compatriot Andrey Rublev.
This will be the 18th meeting between these players and the sixth clash just this season.
Medvedev leads the rivalry 10-7 and owns four victories over Zverev this season alone.
ATP Tour World Finals: Jannik Sinner vs Holger Rune
Holger Rune may lead the rivalry with Jannik Sinner 2-0, but it is clear that the Italian is the form player right now.
Rune couldn't show much in his walkover win over an injured Stefanos Tsitsipas, while Sinner showed a whole lot more in battling to a win over Novak Djokovic.
Sinner has taken things up a notch in recent months and looks to be the man peaking at the right time in Turin.
Rune remains a tough competitor, but Sinner should know that from his two defeats to the Dane.
ATP Tour World Finals: Novak Djokovic vs Hubert Hurkacz
Hubert Hurkacz steps in for injured Stefanos Tsitsipas and will be a challenge to Djokovic's hopes of a semi-final.
A loss to Hurkacz could cost Djokovic a place in the last four, even if Sinner can overcome Rune.
However, Djokovic hasn't lost in six previous meetings with Hurkacz, most recently beating him at Wimbledon.
Hurkacz had a good close to his season but can't be expected to match Djokovic coming in cold.
