Finals points are also a big focus for the ATP Tour with the Shanghai Masters underway for the first time since 2019.

Here we make picks from selected matches to help you assemble your tennis accumulator.

WTA Beijing: Maria Sakkari vs Xinyu Wang | Pick: Sakkari

WTA Beijing: Aryna Sabalenka vs Jasmine Paolini | Pick: Sabalenka

ATP Shanghai: Botic van de Zandschulp vs Christopher O'Connell

Botic Van De Zandschulp has struggled in matches against Christopher O'Connell in the past but Shanghai might just mark a turning point in the rivalry.

The pair have met once on the ATP Tour, with O'Connell besting the Dutchman on clay in Marrakech earlier this year.

O'Connell has also beaten Van de Zandschulp at M25 level although that triumph came when the rising Dutch star was a teenager.

Van De Zandschulp has matured and will present a different prospect for the Aussie this time around.

ATP Shanghai: JJ Wolf vs Pedro Cachin

American JJ Wolf should have the hard court edge over Argentina's Pedro Cachin.

While the players have similar recent records they have never met before and Wolf has been playing at the higher level.

Shanghai will be Cachin's first main draw appearance on the full ATP Tour since the US Open.

Wolf made a return in Beijing last week, battling through qualifying before a first round loss.

ATP Shanghai: Juan Pablo Varillas vs Sebastian Ofner

Sebastian Ofner should have the better hard court skill set in his matchup with the German also out to avenge a French Open qualifying loss to Varillas.

Varillas could benefit from the slightly slower balls in play but Ofner's edge in power is likely to be decisive.

Ofner has ten hard court wins to his name this season against just four to Varillas' name.

Their French Open qualifying clash is the only time they have met in head-to-head competition.

ATP Shanghai: Yosuke Watanuki vs Juncheng Shang

Yosuke Watanuki is out to repeat his Challenger win over Juncheng Shang last week and get back his ATP Tour qualifying loss to his rival from China.

Shang is one to watch for the future but the 18-year-old has some task on his hands as he headlines play on Thursday with this clash.

The pressure to perform in home events can be prohibitive but it might help that Shang has met Watanuki before.

Watanuki's edge in experience will be key in a clash on a very big stage.

WTA Beijing: Anhelina Kalinina vs Caroline Garcia

Caroline Garcia is one win away from a second WTA 1000 semi-final in less than a month.

Garcia's grinding effort in the closing stages of the WTA Tour season have kept her well in contention for the Tour finals.

Anhelina Kalinina has already upset a Grand Slam champion during her run in Beijing.

However, Garcia should see the Ukrainian coming and produce another top performance to reach the last four.

WTA Beijing: Veronika Kudermetova vs Coco Gauff

It's a battle of the in-form players as Tokyo champion Veronika Kudermetova takes on US Open winner Coco Gauff.

Kudermetova has a shot at getting into the Finals race with a title win in Beijing.

Meanwhile Gauff's concern is being in top shape for the Tour finals themselves.

Gauff returned to WTA Tour action this week after a break following her US Open win.

WTA Beijing: Maria Sakkari vs Xinyu Wang

Maria Sakkari is very much in the WTA Tour finals race now and could take a big step towards clinching a place with a win over home hope Xinyu Wang.

Wang carries Chinese hopes in the event as the last home player left in the draw.

This will be the first meeting between these players who are split by 31 rankings places at the moment.

Sakkari is in title winning form and should be on for a straight sets win.

WTA Beijing: Aryna Sabalenka vs Jasmine Paolini

Aryna Sabalenka is a nightmare opponent for Jasmine Paolini as she seeks a deep run at a big event to give her a rankings boost.

Sabalenka is out to fortify her world No 1 status with a big effort in Beijing.

Paolini has beaten Sabalenka twice in three meetings, but the Belarussian hasn't been in the best mood this week.

Paolini might find herself being swept aside bye the world's top player.
