Stefanos Tsitsipas clinches first title of 2023 in Los Cabos

Stefanos Tsitsipas wins in Mexico
Stefanos Tsitsipas claimed his first silverware of 2023 with a dominant performance at the Los Cabos Open in Mexico this weekend.
Stefanos Tsitsipas is back in the winner's circle on the ATP Tour.
The Greek star overcame a spirited challenge by the talented Alex de Minaur in the final on Saturday, winning 6-3 6-4 on the hard courts of the picturesque Mexcian city.
Tsitsipas - who had dropped just one set all week - barely gave de Minaur a sniff, never facing a breakpoint. The plucky Australian did show some dogged defence midway through the second set, coming back from love 40 down to hold serve, but it wasn't enough to force a third set.
"I feel like both of us wanted to go out on the court today and show a great final," said Tsitsipas in his on-court interview, as per atptour.com.
"I feel like it was a great match. Alex showed great tennis, I tried to keep up with the level as much as I could.
"I'm really happy we were able to deliver a great final today. I think that is the thing that stands out the most. It was a great match and the crowd, as always, was fully present and engaged."
The title is Tsitsipas' tenth of his career and his first since the Mallorca Championships last year June. The victory will also see him move above rival Casper Ruud to fourth when the new ATP rankings are released on Monday.
