'Novak Djokovic will win Wimbledon,' predicts coach despite French Open disappointment

Novak Djokovic may have seen his French Open defence fizzle out in the quarterfinals, but he has been backed to do much better at Wimbledon.

Novak Djokovic will win Wimbledon this year, his coach Goran Ivanisevic has confidently declared.
Djokovic heads to SW19 as the defending champion, and he should not be fully caught up with his fitness after playing catch-up with the rest of the Tour due to his vaccination views.
The Serbian lost out in the quarter-finals of Roland Garros last week to Rafael Nadal, although Ivanisevic's confidence is well-founded.
Djokovic has won Wimbledon six times already and there does not appear to be anyone on the ATP Tour right now who has the proven grass court pedigree to stop him.
"Of course he can [recover quickly], and he does not have much of a choice if we are being honest," Ivanisevic said of Djokovic.
"He is the biggest favourite at Wimbledon, just like Rafa was here [in Paris]. Novak now needs to rest well and prepare for Wimbledon physically and mentally.
"I am sure that he can do it and I think he will win Wimbledon, I have a good feeling about that. He needs to focus on grass now."
Novak Djokovic is yet to announce any plans to play any warm-up tournaments for the event.
However, he has turned up at Wimbledon before and won the tournament without any grass court preparation, so Ivanisevic is not too concerned if Djokovic decides to skip Queen's and Halle.
"We will see, but now the key thing for him is to recover mentally," Ivanisevic said.
"As I have said in the past, Novak is a genius with a different mindset than most of us.
"Even though he needs less time than most to come back and to figure some things out, he still needs to do it.
"He has overcome tough losses in the past, and I am completely certain that he will be ready for Wimbledon."
