Katie Boulter cruised through the first round of the National Bank Open.
In-form British number one Katie Boulter has set up a second-round clash with Coco Gauff at the National Bank Open in Montreal.
Boulter cruised to victory in her first-round match at the IGA Stadium, beating Canadian wildcard Rebecca Marino 6-3 6-1.
Having come through two qualifiers - where she also did not drop a set - Boulter will now meet sixth seed Gauff, who had a bye into the second round.
The 19-year-old American reached the final of the French Open last year and will provide a stern test for world number 72 Boulter, who beat compatriot Jodie Burrage at the Nottingham Open in June to claim a maiden singles title.
