Andy Murray reveals stance on Novak Djokovic's vaccination status

Murray was talking about his views on the controversy surrounding Novak Djokovic's refusal to be vaccinated.

Andy Murray has competed with Novak Djokovic on the court since they were juniors.
They have had some standout matches in Grand Slams, including the 2013 Wimbledon final where Murray came out on top.
The pair remain close on tour and seemingly catch up whenever they get a chance but Murray has explained that he disagrees with Djokovic's decision to not get vaccinated.
It has seen Djokovic unable to defend his Australian Open and he got deported due to his vaccine status.
The Serb has since admitted he will swap the chances to compete for more Grand Slam titles in order to not have the Covid-19 jab for the time being.
While Murray does not agree with Djokovic's choice, he did have some sympathy for the world number one.
"I've not seen him here. We exchanged a few messages while he was in Australia," Murray said.
"But I also didn't like seeing him in the situation that he was in. I've known him since I was a child and I don't like seeing that," Murray said.
"There are consequences to the decisions he's made. He obviously has to accept that. But I don't think it's great for tennis if our best player is not competing in the major events."

During an interview with the BBC, Djokovic explained why he has not been vaccinated.

"The principles of decision-making on my body are more important than any title, or anything else. I understand the consequences of my decision.
"I understand that not being vaccinated today, I'm unable to travel to most of the tournaments at the moment. And that is the price I'm willing to pay.
"I was never against vaccination. I understand that globally everyone is trying to put a big effort to handling this virus and seeing hopefully an end soon to this virus and vaccination is probably the biggest effort that was made... I fully respect that."
