Andy Murray joins IMG on 'long-term' deal 'with an eye on the future'

The "long-term deal" will see the organisation act as the 35-year-old Scot's commercial representatives, while also helping handle his career alongside long-time manager Matt Gentry.

"I am looking forward to working with IMG not just for the remainder of my playing career, but with an eye on the future and opportunities both in tennis and in the wider business world," two-time Wimbledon men's singles champion Murray said.

Max Eisenbud, senior vice-president at IMG and head of tennis clients, said: "Andy has built a legacy in tennis that has not only shaped the sport, but also defined its place in culture.

"We are thrilled to have him join the IMG family and work together to expand his reach and influence across multiple businesses."

As a result of the move, the tennis division of 77 Sports Management - the sports agency co-founded by Murray and Gentry - will be disbanded.

Murray earlier this month reached the last 32 at Indian Wells, where he was beaten by fellow Briton Jack Draper, and then suffered a first-round exit at the Miami Open last week.
