Tottenham vs Wolverhampton tips and prediction: Spurs out to stop Wolves from completing rare treble

Tottenham welcome Wolverhampton to the capital this weekend as Ange Postecoglou’s men attempt to strengthen their position in the top four on Saturday afternoon.
Spurs jumped into the Champions League places at the expense of Aston Villa last weekend. However, with Spurs being Spurs, capitulation is never far away.
Nevertheless, Postecoglou’s men have a lot going in their favour ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Wolves.
Spurs head into the fixture on the back of a win against Brighton, they boast the second-most home wins in the league and they’re unbeaten in the competition since December. What could possibly go wrong.
Interestingly, history is not on their side when it comes to this particular fixture. Three of the last four meetings have been won by Wolves, including the last two encounters.
Gary O’Neil’s men beat Tottenham earlier this season at Molineux and they’re now looking to do a season double over the London club.
A win will also mark their third straight league success against Tottenham – something they’ve never done in their history.
The one negative when it comes to Wolves is their performance last weekend against Brentford.
The 2-0 defeat at home came as a bit of a surprise considering Wolves had scored nine goals in their three matches prior against tough opposition.
Whether that was a slight hiccup or a sign of things to come remains to be seen. But when it comes to this weekend’s fixture, we are expecting both teams to find the back of the net.
Tottenham to win the match 2-1 in the correct score market is the way to go. While their recent record against Wolves may be worrying, their home form remains solid and it should see them through this encounter.
Team news
Tottenham will be without Ryan Sessegnon and Manor Solomon. There are also doubts over Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie.
Wolves, meanwhile, will be missing Matheus Cunha.
