Sheffield Utd vs Brighton tips and predictions: Seagulls looking to pull off Premier League first

Chris Wilder
Sheffield United’s bid to avoid relegation continues this Sunday as they welcome Brighton to South Yorkshire (14:00 GMT).
There are 14 games remaining for Sheffield United this season, yet most people have already consigned the Blades to relegation.
Don’t get me wrong, the situation is undoubtedly bleak. Chris Wilder’s men have accumulated just 13 points from 24 games and currently sit seven points from safety.
Survival is a long way away, though it’s not impossible. Last weekend’s 3-1 victory over Luton was certainly a step in the right direction. Question is, can they back it up against Brighton?
History is certainly in Sheffield’s favour. Brighton have never beaten the Blades in the Premier League in five attempts since 2019.
What’s more, the Seagulls are heading into this fixture in shaky form having lost two of their last three outings, conceding seven goals in the process.
We don’t have complete faith in the hosts which is why we’re backing them in the draw no bet market.
Brighton remain a dangerous side who are still intent on pushing for a top seven finish.
With that in mind, Roberto De Zerbi’s men should get on the scoresheet against the worst defence in the competition.
Team news
Sheffield United head into this fixture without George Baldock, Chris Basham, John Egan, Ivo Grbic, Daniel Jebbinson and Rhys Norrington-Davies. There are also doubts over Ben Brereton Diaz and Oli McBurnie.
Brighton, meanwhile, are missing Julio Enciso, Jack Hinshelwood, Joao Pedro, Solly March and James Milner.
