Robbie Savage thinks Nottingham Forest can edge out Burnley in a potential relegation six-pointer on Monday Night Football.

These are the games that Vincent Kompany and his staff would have identified to get points out of, no question about that.

A bit like Luton against Fulham this weekend, this is a game where Burnley need to take points.

It’s not been a great start for Burnley, Steve Cooper on the other hand, that win at Stamford Bridge was brilliant.

They've got some very good players, but they've lost Brennan Johnson which is a huge loss in my opinion.

But on the back of Forest signing lots of good players, I think they will beat Burnley and I'm going with a reverse of the scoreline in the Carabao Cup.

Robbie’s tip: Nottingham Forest 1-0 Burnley

Nottingham Forest vs Burnley team news

Anthony Elanga will face a late fitness test over the weekend. Forest’s January signing scored the goal that beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last time out.

Serge Aurier, Wayne Hennessey and Danilo will also be monitored, but there are no major concerns of long-term injuries for Steve Cooper to contend with.

The red-hot Taito Awoniyi will continue upfront with Morgan-Gibbs White behind him. Scott McKenna, Joe Worrall and Willy Boly performed well as a back three against Chelsea.

Anass Zaroury is set to return from the straight red card he picked up against Manchester City but Darko Churlinov, Michael Obafemi and Hjalmar Ekdal miss out.

Josh Cullen, Sander Berge and Zeki Amdouni are likely to retain their spot while Josh Brownhill is pushing for a start after his goal against Spurs.

Vitinho and Aaron Ramsey could be available pending a late fitness test.

    Key stats

    - Zeki Amdouni scored a 90th-minute winner for Vincent Kompany’s team when these two sides met at the City Ground in Carabao Cup action last month.
    - Nottingham Forest have scored in 11 consecutive Premier League matches and are just three shy of the club record run.
    - Burnley are unbeaten in seven competitive meetings with Nottingham Forest dating back to 2012, but they are unbeaten in four at home.

Planet Sport’s other bets to consider

Not many teams have beaten Forest the City Ground. Manchester United and Newcastle United are the only teams to win there since September 16, 2022.

It’s worth noting that five of their 10 home wins have come by a single goal to nil and they kept a clean sheet in six of them.

Taiwo Awoniyi and the departed Brennan Johnson have shared the scoring burden, netting seven times each at home, and the former is in fine form having scored nine in eight.
