Planet Sport Bet ambassador Robbie Savage expects Liverpool to return to winning ways when they welcome Brentford at Anfield.

I think Liverpool will make it eight [straight wins at home against Brentford], there’s no question about that.

Although Brentford, they went to the Bridge and won 2-0. That was a fantastic result for Brentford.

But I think at Anfield, a place they’ve not won at since 1937 I believe. I think that run will extend, I’m gonna go with a Liverpool 3-1 win.

    Robbie’s Tip: Liverpool 3-1 Brentford

    Team news

Stefan Bajcetic, Andy Robertson and Thiago are all absent for Liverpool due to injuries.

Alexis Mac Allister is suspended while Curtis Jones and Virgil van Dijk could miss out through illness.

Brentford, meanwhile, are without long-term absentees Rico Henry, Aaron Hickey, Ivan Toney and Kevin Schade.

Mikkel Damsgaard and Joshua Dasilva aren’t expected to return until later this month.

There are also doubts over Mark Flekken, Keane Lewis-Potter and Shandon Baptiste.

    Key stats

    - Liverpool won their last seven home games against Brentford in all competitions

    - Brentford’s last league win over Liverpool at Anfield came back in November 1937

    - Brentford are in-form having won their last three Premier League matches

Planet Sport’s other bets to consider

A lot has happened since Brentford last won a league game at Anfield.

We’ve had the Second World War, the moon landing, the invention of the internet and 31 released studio albums by the Rolling Stones.

Question is, what will come first, a follow up to Hackney Diamonds or a first Brentford breakthrough in almost 86 years?

On one hand, the Bees should feel optimistic. Liverpool have endured a poor week after drawing 1-1 to Luton and losing 3-2 away in Toulouse.

Brentford, meanwhile, are on a three-match winning run in the Premier League – scoring eight goals in the process.

There is, however, one giant problem. Away form.

Thomas Frank’s men have only won six of their last 16 away matches in all competitions. What’s more, the fact the Bees haven’t won at Anfield since 1937 makes them hard to back.

Liverpool will be itching to return to winning ways after recent disappointments and we’re backing them to turn on the style at Anfield.

Over 3.5 goals and both teams to get on the scoresheet is the way to go in this one.
