Verdict
Easter in the EFL is a brutal time. It often makes or breaks a team's promotion chances, and neither side has any room for error here.
Luton are, for all intents and purposes, seven points off the automatic pace when you consider their goal difference, while Millwall are four points clear of the playoff-chasing pack.
The sides last met at the tail end of February when they played out a thrilling 2-2 draw, but the hostile confines of The New Den should lend itself to a much more cagey affair on Friday.
Travelling to Millwall for a lunch-time kick-off in front of the cameras is often a chastening experience, but this is a battle-hardened Town side who have lost just four times on their travels.
Of their 19 away games, 14 have seen two or fewer goals, and with the visitors winning nine of those by way of a clean sheet, an open end-to-end game seems unlikely.
The Town armour isn't without its chinks in recent weeks, though. They've taken the lead only to be pulled back in three of their last four away games, all of which finished 1-1.
Luton's away victories are often a war of attrition but in recent weeks Millwall have again found their feet defensively, with the partnership of Jake Cooper and Charlie Cresswell proving vital.
It may not be the most glamorous viewing, but Luton should have enough in their lock to pinch at least a point from this blood and thunder affair.
