Luton Town’s Premier League survival bid continues this Saturday afternoon as they make the annoying trip around the M25 for the clash with Crystal Palace (1500 GMT).
From the end of December all the way to early February, Luton lost just one of nine games across all competitions.
It was a truly magnificent run which saw the Hatters beat Newcastle, Sheffield United, Everton and even smash Brighton 4-0 at Kenilworth Road.
Things were going so well, it seemed too good to last. As it turns out, it was.
Since Luton’s thrilling 4-4 draw with Newcastle last month, the club have gone on a five-match losing run.
In truth, Rob Edwards and his men have not had it easy when it comes to the opposition.
Across their last four games, Luton have played Man United, Liverpool, Man City and Aston Villa – clubs inside or in the vicinity of the top four.
This weekend offers Luton a more realistic opportunity of a return to winning ways as they take on a wholly unpredictable Crystal Palace outfit.
Oliver Glasner recently took over the managerial hot seat at Selhurst Park and followed up a 3-0 win over Burnley with a 3-1 loss at Tottenham.
Unlike Luton, who are in the relegation zone, Crystal Palace have an eight-point cushion over the bottom three and are not in a position to panic… just yet.
One of the big positives for the Eagles in their home form which has seen them win three of their last four Premier League games at Selhurst Park.
In a similar way, Luton have been very impressive on the road. The Hatters have lost just one of their last six matches away from home across all competitions.
Bearing everything in mind, we’re going for a 1-1 draw in the correct score market. Backing a draw in the outrights will offer less returns but is a safer alternative.

Crystal Palace will be without Cheick Doucoure, Marc Guehi, Rob Holding, Michael Olise and Jasuran Rak-Sakyi.
Luton, meanwhile, will be missing Elijah Adebayo, Mads Andersen, Jacob Brown, Sambi Lokonga and Marvelous Nakamba. There are also doubts over Gabriel Osho and Dan Potts.
