Chelsea kick off a huge month with a tricky clash against Wolverhampton this Sunday afternoon at Stamford Bridge (1400 GMT).

An FA Cup fourth-round replay, two London derbies, a trip to Manchester City and the small matter of the Carabao Cup final. It’s fair to say that February is likely to make or break Chelsea’s season.

Mauricio Pochettino will certainly hope for a strong start to the month as the Blues look to shake-off their embarrassing 4-1 defeat at Anfield on Wednesday.

Wolves won’t make things easy. And if you don’t believe us, ask Erik ten Hag and his Manchester United outfit.

Gary O’Neil’s men came back from 3-1 down against the Red Devils to level the game in stoppage time.

Incredibly, there was still enough time for Kobbie Mainoo to grab the unlikeliest of winners for United.

The result aside, Wolves are not here to play games. They’re here to pick up points and upset the big boys.

On one hand, it’s crazy to think that this is a club which lost their manager at the start of the season due to their lack of transfer investment.

Yet despite this, Wolves will overtake Chelsea in the table with a win this Saturday – a club which has spent over a billion pounds on transfers in less than 20 months.

Should Wolverhampton end their 10-match losing run at Stamford Bridge, they will also complete a league double over Chelsea for the first time since 1974/75. Almost fifty years.

Bearing in mind Chelsea’s capitulation against Liverpool and the high level of performance from Wolves, we’re backing a close game.

Both teams to score and a one goal winning margin are our tips for this tasty encounter.

Christopher Nkunku, who scored against Liverpool, is worth backing to get amongst the goals against Wolves too.

    Team news

Chelsea will be without Marc Cucurella, Wesley Fofana, Reece James, Romeo Lavia and Robert Sanchez. Trevoh Chalobah and Levi Colwill are also doubts.

Wolves, on the other hand, are still missing Hwang Hee-Chan and Boubacar Traore with both players on international duty.
