Team news
Bradley Dack (hamstring) remains sidelined until May and Blackburn have sorely missed his influence this season. Daniel Ayala (hamstring) is also likely to miss out.
Hull City's growing injury list includes Oscar Estupinan (knee), Ryan Longman (leg), Benjamin Tetteh (hamstring) and Nathan Baxter (ankle) are among those expected to miss out.
Verdict
Blackburn Rovers' haul of four points from a possible 15 has put an end to their push for automatic promotion and left them fearful of losing their spot in the play-offs.
Defeat to Norwich City last time out in a crucial six-pointer has opened the door for the Canaries to pile on the pressure in the remaining game, while Preston North End were also able to capitalise.
Hull City's patchy form throughout this season means the threat of relegation has been ever present, but six points in their last four matches coupled with Reading's point deduction has eased their fears.
The Tigers were never in the play-off race but they'll have as big a say as anyone in the remaining weeks of the season. City's chaotic 4-4 draw at Sunderland was followed up by a 1-0 win against Millwall.
Hull will now face Blackburn, Middlesbrough, Watford and Luton in their final five games and it wouldn't be a surprise to see the Tigers leave their mark on at least one of those sides.
Blackburn have kept themselves in contention by grinding out results this season but allowing eight of their last nine opponents to find the net has made life tough for the lowest-scoring team in the top six.
Hull City's stubborn form since Liam Rosenior took charge in November ranks among the best in the league. Only Sheffield United, Norwich, Bristol City and Burnley have beaten them in 20 matches.
