Burnley vs Arsenal tips and predictions: Stingy Gunners can keep hosts quiet

Arsenal go in search of a fifth consecutive win in the Premier League title race when they face Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon.

Turf Moor has been a happy hunting ground for visitors this season as the hosts have claimed just five points from 12 Premier League matches.

The Clarets' record against teams currently in the top seven is even worse as they’ve lost all 13 encounters, so don’t bet your house on an upset here.

Arsenal’s imperious recent form is essential to keep pace with Liverpool and City in what looks like another mad dash for the title, and this should prove to be another routine win.

The Gunners rattled in six against the hapless Hammers last weekend, building on the 10 goals they’d scored in three straight wins before that.

Bukayo Saka’s performances have been one of the catalysts behind Arsenal’s increasing attack threat with the England forward registering eight goal involvements in eight.

Goals have been much harder to come by for the hosts. Vincent Kompany’s side have found their shooting boots lately though, scoring seven in five.

Despite that, eight of their Premier League defeats have been to nil and Mikel Arteta’s side can consider themselves unfortunate to have conceded during their winning run.

Other than risking Arsenal to win to nil, it feels necessary to be a bit creative with our bets for this one, and we think the corners market can be exploited.

Turf Moor has witnessed 11 corners per game this season and the Gunners average seven per game on their travels, so over 6.5 corners is worth a punt.

Team news

Vincent Kompany’s side will be without attacking trio Lyle Foster, Luca Koleosho and Nathan Redmond for Saturday’s match.

In better news, Jordan Beyer is nearing a return and Charlie Taylor could make the squad, but neither is likely to start.

Jurrien Timber, Thomas Partey and Fabio Viera remain long-term absentees for the Gunners.

Oleksandr Zinchenko, Emile Smith Rowe, Takehiro Tomiyasi and Gabriel Jesus face a race against time to prove their fitness for the weekend.
