Brentford vs Bournemouth tips: Cherries to endure another fruitless trip to the capital

Thomas Frank
Planet Sport Bet ambassador Robbie Savage has backed Brentford to continue their unbeaten start to the season against Bournemouth.
Bournemouth’s record in the capital is not very good. They've just won two of their last 15 away games in the Premier League.
They go to a Brentford side who love to play that dynamic, brilliant possession-based football at times.
I think Brentford here at home, especially with Bournemouth’s away record in the capital, I think Brentford will win and win the game to nil, 2-0 to Brentford.
Robbie’s Pick: Brentford 2-0 Bournemouth
Team news
Bar the suspended Ivan Toney, Brentford have two other definite absentees ahead of the weekend in the form of Joshua Dasilva and Shandon Baptiste.
There are also questions around Thomas Strakosha and Mikkel Damsgaard after both men picked up knocks in their last outing.
Bournemouth, on the other hand, will have to cope without Alex Scott, Dango Outtara, Adam Smith, Marcus Tavernier and Tyler Adams.
Ryan Fredericks and Emiliano Marcondes are both doubts.
Key stats
- Brentford have won their last four home games against Bournemouth
- Bournemouth have lost 12 of last 15 Premier League away games against London clubs
- Brentford have lost one of their last 17 league games at home
- Bournemouth are averaging more shots, more passes and more possession per game this season than they did at this stage last term.
Suggested bets
Brentford are one of six teams in the Premier League yet to taste defeat and according to most indicators that is expected to continue.
The Bees have won five of their last seven head-to-head encounters against the Cherries and they’ve only tasted two home defeats since the turn of the year.
With stats like that in their corner, it’s hard to bet against a Brentford side who are also easy on the eye.
Bournemouth are trying to play attractive football under Andoni Iraola, but while most of their stats are up, the most crucial ones – league points for example – have barely moved.
For all their shots, attempts on goal and possession, the Cherries boast a solitary point and could face another disappointing day away at Brentford.
