AC Milan vs Roma tips and predictions: Four-year-old trends to continue in Rossoneri win

Two of Serie A’s biggest clubs will clash in the Europa League quarter-finals on Thursday as AC Milan welcome Roma to the San Siro.

Stefano Pioli’s side reached this stage of the competition with a 7-3 aggregate win over Sparta Prague, before which they edged a 5-3 goal-fest against Rennes.

The Rossoneri have proven an entertaining watch in recent weeks with goals from Christian Pulisic, Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao bagging a 3-0 win over Lecce at the weekend.

It was a close call for Daniele de Rossi and his Roma side, beating Feyenoord 4-2 on penalties after drawing 2-2 across two legs.

They also triumphed at the weekend with a statement 1-0 win over arch-rivals Lazio, extending their unbeaten run in Serie A to seven and solidifying fifth spot.

Roma have struggled against Milan throughout the years, with that poor form continuing in January when AC ran out 3-1 winners.

They also prevailed in the reverse fixture at Stadio Olimpico, 2-1, so they will be confident about their chances of progressing from this tie.
