Despite his young years, Lewis already made over 50 appearances for City, won a total five major trophies including the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup.
He broke into the England national squad at the age of 18.
Not bad for someone who was only given his first professional contract in the summer of 2022.
Time in the Manchester City youth set-up
Lewis joined the Man City academy at the age of eight and worked his way into the club’s under-18s by the age of 15. He part of the squad that won U21 Premier League title in the 2021/22 season and 2022/23.
He made a total of 29 appearances for the under-18s’ team and 10 for the under-21s team.
Breaking into the Manchester City first-team
After impressing for a long time in the City academy, Lewis was named in the club’s Premier League and Champions League squads for the 2022/23 season.
He made his professional debut for the club when he came on as a 82nd-minute substitute in club’s 4-0 victory over AFC Bournemouth on August 13, 2022 and he made his Champions League debut in their 5-0 victory over FC Copenhagen on October 5, 2022.
Lewis scored his first professional goal for City in their 3-1 victory over Spanish side Sevilla in the Champions League on November 2, 2022. When scoring this goal, Lewis was only 17 years and 346 days when scoring this goal meaning he became City’s youngest-ever Champions League goalscorer.
Lewis ended the 2022/23 season having made 23 appearances in all competitions and was part of the City team who won an historic Treble with the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League.
He scored his first league goal for City in their 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium on December 16, 2023.
Playing for England at youth level and making senior debut
Lewis has played at several youth levels for England and he began in the under-16s team between 2019 and 2020 where he a total of three appearances.
He then went on to play for the under-18s team between 2021 and 2022 where he made seven appearances and even bagged himself a goal against Wales.
Lewis then moved up to play for the under-19s team in 2022 and made three appearances. He then played for the under-21s team in 2023 and made four appearances at that level.
Lewis was called up to the senior national team in November 2023 and made his debut for the Three Lions in their 1-1 draw with North Macedonia on November 20, 2023.

Lewis' has a Colombian mother and French father and has an elder sister called Sacha. Born in Bury, UK, Lewis has been a Manchester City supporter from a young age.
