Following a successful Euro 2020 campaign, Denmark return to action as they look to maintain their perfect 2022 World Cup qualifying record.

The Danes seem unstoppable on their road to Qatar having recorded three wins from three, scored 14 goals and conceded none.

Scotland are also unbeaten but with two draws and a win on their account, Steve Clarke's men are currently in second place - trailing their upcoming opponents by four points.

A victory away in Copenhagen would significantly boost Scotland's qualifying hopes. The trouble is, most signs are pointing to a home win.
Unlike their opponents, Scotland endured a woeful Euro 2020 campaign having claimed one point and one goal throughout the tournament.

In fact, Clarke's men only registered one win from their last eight competitive games - that one victory coming against the Faroe Islands back in March.
Unsurprisingly, the bookmakers have priced the hosts as firm favourites but that doesn't offer much value in the betting.
Instead, it may be worth backing the Danes to lead at half-time. This is a bet that has landed in Denmark's five previous World Cup qualifying wins on home soil.

The visitors dominated almost every statistic bar the one that really counts.

An action-packed first half was followed by a second half snooze fest when the two sides clashed in 2011.

Own goal from William Kvist put the Scots in front but their advantage didn't last long. Christian Eriksen bagged the equaliser on the half-hour mark but that was not the end of the drama.
Just before the interval, it was Robert Snodgrass who put the Scots back in front - a lead which would stand until the full-time whistle.

Denmark's impressive home run

In 22 games, only two teams has been able to beat Denmark on their own turf. That was Belgium and Finland, most recently at the European Championships.

You may think that the low quality of opposition is probably the reason behind that impressive run. And, you would be right.

Despite a few games with the likes of Sweden, England, Switzerland and Wales, the rest have come against considerably weaker nations.

Nevertheless, the Danes have proved that they're a tough team to beat on home turf and Scotland will certainly have a job on their hands.
The outright market provides few opportunities but one other bet which has caught our attention is for Denmark to score two goals at around the 2/1 mark.
This is a market that has proved successful in three of Denmark's last six home games.

Scotland can also pose a threat

While Euro 2020 may have been a bit of a bust for the Scots, the fact they even qualified speaks volumes about their recent improvements.
The team are unbeaten in this current World Cup qualifying campaign but it's important to point out that all three results - one win and two draws - all came from losing positions.

There's a lot of grit and heart about this Scotland side but few expect their unbeaten run to continue in Copenhagen.
Nevertheless, having scored seven goals in three games, it may be worth backing the Scots to at least get on the scoreboard.

Both teams to score and a home win is currently well priced at around the 3/1 mark.

Denmark's Jonas Wind and Yussuf Poulsen currently lead the anytime goalscorer market at 5/4.

Our tip though, is to back Mikkel Damsgaard at around 6/4. The man who scored that infamous free-kick against England at Euro 2020 is in great form for his national side.

What's more, in just eight appearances for the Danes, he's already bagged four goals.

From Scotland's perspective, we like the look of Ryan Fraser. At 10/1, the Newcastle player offers great value.

Plus, he's already bagged two goals in this qualifying campaign and looks to be in good form.
