Thomas Tuchel has no regrets despite his latest defeat to Jurgen Klopp

Thomas Tuchel has come up short once again in his rivalry with compatriot Jurgen Klopp after Liverpool beat Chelsea on penalties in the FA Cup Final.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was crestfallen after seeing his side fall agonizingly short of capping a difficult season with an FA Cup triumph. 

Tuchel led wild celebrations from the Chelsea dugout when Edouard Mendy stopped Sadio Mane's low penalty kick to keep the Blues in the shootout but ecstasy turned to agony moments later.
Mason Mount couldn't drive his shot far enough away from Liverpool keeper Alisson who kept it out to give Kostas Tsimikas a chance to claim the FA Cup from the spot.
Tuchel said that he was proud of his team for holding the attacking force that is Liverpool to a goalless draw across 90 minutes and through extra time.
"I have no regrets. I told the team I'm proud. We struggled in the first 15 minutes, we looked nervous and tense but then we were excellent," Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel said after the FA Cup final defeat to Liverpool.
"We held maybe the most dangerous attacking team in the world to 0-0 and created chances ourselves.
"We are sad. Everybody is in pain. We have to digest it and keep on going. That is life in sport."

Chelsea turn to Premier League

Chelsea now turn their attention to a strong finish in the Premier League.
"We have now two days off and then we need to prepare," Tuchel added.
"The season is not finished because we have goals to reach in the Premier League. This is sometimes hard but also good and it is what it is. Life goes on and it will go on next Thursday when you're in the middle of the ring at Stamford Bridge.
"We have still stuff to play for but it will be a bit harder without a trophy and the confidence of a big win."

Jurgen Klopp hails 'mentality monsters'

Jurgen Klopp notched his tenth win against sides managed by Thomas Tuchel in 19 meetings between the managers whose careers have followed a similar path.
Klopp has undoubtedly transformed Liverpool reinforcing a winning mindset but he would also praise Chelsea's mentality.
"It was an incredible, intense game. Chelsea would have deserved it exactly the same way, but that's how small the margins are," Klopp said.
"We overcame good moments from Chelsea, then had really good moments ourselves.
"We are mentality monsters but there were mentality monsters in blue as well. Chelsea played outstanding but in the end there must be one winner and that was us today."
