Social Zone Transfer Rumours: Manchester United chase disinterested Barcelona star

Manchester United appear to be edging closer to signing FC Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong. Trouble is – he doesn’t want to leave his current club.

Frenkie de Jong could be a Man United player in the very near future if recent reports are to be believed. The player joined Barcelona in 2019 for around £65million, and has made 98 appearances for the Catalan giants.

The Dutchman is clearly enjoying his time in Spain, and it appears that the Red Devils still have some convincing to do before he puts pen to paper.
That, however, opens up another can of worms. In the none distant past, players were clamouring for an opportunity to wear the famous red jersey. A few seasons in obscurity appear to have tarnished that notion.
Another issue for United fans is the constant stream of information - and I use that term loosely - which streams out on social media.
Every day a different world beater is linked with the club, yet still none of them appear to be interested. No wonder supporters are becoming stressed.

One deal which was ratified earlier today was Antonio Rudiger's move from Chelsea to Real Madrid.

The 29-year-old joins the European champions after five successful years at Stamford Bridge.
BT Sport didn't do him justice with this graphic though. Seriously, zoom in and take a closer look. I know times are tough but are we really resorting to using Microsoft Paint?

Rudiger's move to Real Madrid also goes a long way to explaining why clubs such as Manchester United can't find any decent defenders.

Clearly, they're all in Madrid.
Ousmane Dembele is reportedly on his way to Chelsea in what could be the first transfer for the Blues under the new Todd Boehly regime.

In five seasons at Barcelona, the player wracked up 150 appearances. Interestingly, he also missed 102 games due to injuries.
