Is Sadio Mane the biggest signing in Bundesliga history? One club wholeheartedly disagrees.

Bayern Munich completed their pursuit of Sadio Mane on Wednesday after securing his signature for £35.1million. 

Mane joins the German champions from Liverpool where he spent six years and won six trophies including the Premier League and Champions League.

For some, the move to the Bundesliga may seem like a major backwards step considering the German top tier is far from the product it once was.
Nevertheless, a suggestion that Mane was the biggest signing in the history of the German top flight was shut down by Schalke 04's media team.

Let's face it, seeing the former Liverpool man in a Bayern shirt does indeed feel strange.
