Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski broke a host of records last-night with his first-half Champions League hat-trick. But was it really as good as it sounds?

The goals took Lewandowski past the 40-goal mark in all competitions for the seventh successive season and helped Bayern to an 8-2 aggregate victory over Red Bull Salzburg.

His three efforts made Champions League history as he produced the fastest-ever hat-trick, bettering Marco Simone's treble inside 24 minutes for AC Milan against Rosenborg in 1996.

SOCCER: All it took was 11 minutes for Robert Lewandowski to break the record.

Question is, does his effort look better on paper than in reality? I mean, two of the goals were penalties and the third was a tap in…
SOCCER: You could argue this one strike from Lautaro Martinez was a lot better than Lewandowski's hat-trick. No sign of crotch tap-ins here - just pure footballing genius!
SOCCER/UFC: Paddy 'The Baddy' Pimblett was at Anfield last night, watching the Champions League.
What a character. The man could meet Joe Biden and still call him 'lad'.
CRICKET: Catch of the year contender from Deandra Dottin! Her effort will take some serious beating!
SKATEBOARDING: Tony Hawk broke his femur in a skating accident on the eve of the release of his HBO special 'Until The Wheels Fall off'.
    Talk about life imitating art!
