Piers Morgan loves a controversial comment. In other news, water is wet.

The TV presenter created quite the reaction on Twitter when he tweeted it was great to see a Beckham who could play football. It was in reference to Odell Beckham during Super Bowl LVI.

Morgan was making a dig towards ex-Manchester United and Real Madrid star David Beckham.

It certainly didn't go down well with Gary Lineker, who reminded Morgan that Becks had won five Premier League titles, a Champions League and multiple domestic trophies.

And of course, Morgan had to have the final word - this time making a dig towards Lionel Messi.

Steve Bruce took charge of his first home game as West Brom manager and it was a Bruce classic, ending in a stalemate to promotion rivals Blackburn Rovers.
His appointment at the Championship side has created an incredible stat about the former Magpies coach though.

Christian Eriksen - who turned 30 yesterday - celebrated his birthday by returning to a football pitch.

In his first appearance in eight months, the ex-Spurs midfielder played 60 minutes in a friendly against Southend United XI.
Eriksen's last competitive match was on June 12, 2021, at Euro 2020 for Denmark. He collapsed on the pitch and received CPR before being taken to hospital.
He was fitted with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator but Serie A rules meant he was not allowed to continue for Inter Milan due to the ICD.

Eriksen is building up his fitness ahead of his Premier League return with Brentford. It's great to see the Denmark international back!

Not too sure Arsenal fans will enjoy this tweet.

Stan Kroenke's Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl LVI and apparently, the Gunners have the best owner in football.

Manchester United fans will feel their pain from last year. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers won the Super Bowl and they are owned by the Glazers.

Manchester City are on course for another Premier League title. Should they finish top, it will be Pep Guardiola's fourth Premier League title.

However, he has revealed he is not after records and won't be following into the footsteps of Sir Alex Ferguson - much to the relief of pretty much everyone apart from Man City fans.
