Social Zone: Incredible stat shows Mikel Arteta's failings at Arsenal

Mikel Arteta's Arsenal choked against Newcastle, Huddersfield Town are one win away from promotion to the Premier League and Kylian Mbappe announces he will make a decision soon.

Arsenal have crumbled once again but should it really be a surprise to any of us?

The Gunners tasted a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle on Monday night to leave them two points behind rivals Tottenham ahead of the final day.

Arsenal have been inside the top four for the majority of the season, and some even said Mikel Arteta should be awarded Manager of the Year if he achieved it.

Well, drop that claim now. With Spurs requiring just one point against bottom-placed Norwich City to make a Champions League return next season, Arsenal can kiss goodbye to the big time and say hello to Thursday nights.

This stat says it all about Arteta's 'project' at Arsenal.

If they are looking for 'Champions League form' then perhaps they should look at the job Eddie Howe is doing at Newcastle United.

Since replacing Steve Bruce, he has taken 36 points since Christmas - only three teams including Manchester City and Liverpool have won more.
Say what you want about the money Newcastle have but Howe is doing a tremendous job for the Magpies.

Graeme Souness, Ian Durrant and Richard Gough all made warnings to Gers fans, telling them to behave ahead of arriving in Spain for the Europa League final against Frankfurt on Wednesday.

And Chris Sutton issued a warning too - in a Celtic shirt may we add.
Huddersfield Town are one game away from returning to the Premier League following their 1-0 win over Luton Town.
Fans invaded the pitch to celebrate the achievement, something Luton boss Nathan Jones was not impressed by.
One thing he can't deny though, is the atmosphere they created prior to the semi-final fixture.

French ace Kylian Mbappe has been linked with a move to Real Madrid on a free transfer in the summer.

The PSG forward revealed he will make his decision soon.
"I will officially announce my decision on the future before I join the France national team in June," said Mbappe.
Reports suggest Los Blancos could make it official after the Champions League final against Liverpool.
Imagine Benzema, Vinicius and Mbappe next season.
