Social Zone: Gary Neville claims Liverpool got ‘played’ by Mohamed Salah

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has given his verdict on Mohamed Salah’s new Liverpool contract.

The Egypt international ended speculation about his future by putting pen to paper on a new three-year deal with Liverpool, worth a reported £400,000 a week.

The new contract, which runs to 2025, will set the Reds back £62million as Jurgen Klopp's side continue to strengthen ahead of the new season.
Since joining the Merseyside club, Salah has scored 156 goals in 254 games. However, some have questioned his recent form, which has seen the Egyptian score just nine goals since the start of 2022.
Former Man United defender and current Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville took to social media to share his thoughts on the deal.
Looking at the top six most expensive wages in the Premier League, it might not be Liverpool who are getting 'played' after all.
We'll just leave this here and let you make your own minds up…
Back in 2019, Neville suggested he could 'smell' Salah's departure from Liverpool.

While that prediction has not come to pass, it does make for great viewing.

England's Jonny Hill was on the receiving end of a headbutt from Australia's Darcy Swain.
Can you imagine if that was Neymar or Jordi Alba? We would need the paramedics.
If you had a bad start to the weekend, don't forget there's always someone who is having a worse time than you.
Take Stuart Broad as an example. The England man has just set an unwanted world record for conceding the most runs in a single over during a Test match.
