Inter Milan follow Romelu Lukaku deal by signing former Arsenal and Manchester United midfielder

Inter Milan have secured their sixth signing of the summer as they continue to strengthen ahead of the new Serie A season.

Simone Inzaghi's men have backed up their recent loan signing of Romelu Lukaku by adding former Arsenal and Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan to their ranks.

The player joins Inter on a free transfer following his most recent spell at Jose Mourinho's AS Roma.

While Inter did not reveal the details of Mkhitaryan's contract, it's understood the player has signed a two-year deal with the club.

The Armenia international previoulsy spent one-and-a-half seasons at Manchester United before moving to Arsenal in 2017.

The player made 39 Premier League appearances for the Gunners before linking up with AS Roma in 2019.
Mkhitaryan's last game for Mourinho's side saw him lift the inaugural UEFA Conference League crown as Roma beat Feyenoord 1-0 in Albania.

The 33-year-old becomes the sixth Inter Milan signing of the summer, and the first Armenian player in the club's history.

Last week, Chelsea's Romelu Lukaku arrived at San Siro as his £8million loan move reached completion.
The club have also secured the signatures of Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana, German international Robin Gosens, Lazio forward Joaquin Correa and Empoli midfielder Kristjan Asllani.
