The Champions League group stages culminate this week with Manchester United needing a near-miracle to progress.

The Red Devils are bottom of the group and face a daunting clash with German heavyweights Bayern Munich at Old Trafford.

Elsewhere, Arsenal will be looking to cap off a successful group campaign with a positive result away in Eindhoven.

Trouble is, PSV boast a perfect 15 win record in their domestic league and they will be determined to knock off a Premier League powerhouse ahead of the knockout stages.

Here, former Wales international Robbie Savage looks ahead to both games.

PSV Eindhoven vs Arsenal (5.45pm GMT – Tuesday)

“It depends on what the managers put out in terms of the players. What minutes do certain players need.

“Both [teams] doing exceptionally well in their respective divisions. Arsenal have won the group, both teams are through. PSV’s defensive record in their 15 wins in the Eredivisie, they’ve only conceded six goals.

“Goals are hard to come by for opposition teams in the Netherlands, but I think Arsenal on the back of the defeat to Aston Villa. They’ve won one they’ve lost one away from home in this competition so far.

“I think it will be a draw, both teams are through, I’m going 1-1.”

Manchester United vs Bayern Munich (8pm GMT – Tuesday)

“Manchester United’s record against Bayern in European competitions is not great. They only won two from 12 but 1999 was the big one, that 2-1 win.

“I think they’re going to need heroes, they’re going to need an unbelievable performance to get through. Losing 3-0 at home to Bournemouth at the weekend. This is a must win game.

“They’ve got to win the game and hope the result in the other game between Galatasaray and Copenhagen go their way. But I can’t see them getting through.

“I think the first hurdle is, can they beat Bayern? I don’t think they can.

“Harry Kane’s got 18 goals in the Bundesliga, coming back to England, he’ll want to show everybody what he’s about.

“Harry Kane to score and I think Bayern Munich to win the game. I just think they’ll be too good for Manchester United. I’m going with a 3-1 Bayern win.”
