Arsenal have a one-goal deficit to overturn as they travel to Paris for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final with PSG (Wed, 2000 BST).

Having failed to mount a serious title challenge in the Premier League, the Gunners were hopeful of rectifying their season on the European stage.

In truth, things were going rather well for Mikel Arteta’s men. That was until that opening semi-final leg with PSG which saw the Gunners produce arguably one of their worst home performances in the competition this season.

Arsenal were lucky to come away from that game with just a one-goal deficit, and they will now be looking to cash in on that luck when they travel to Paris for the reverse fixture.

PSG may have missed a couple of absolute sitters at the Emirates, but they will be happy with the current state of play.

Knocking out English teams is becoming a speciality for the Parisians who have already beaten Man City in the league phase and dumped out Liverpool and Aston Villa from the competition in the knockouts.

Arsenal are next on their hit list and considering PSG have won three of their last four home Champions League games, Luis Enrique’s side will fancy their chances.

Only two teams in the history of the modern Champions League have progressed to the final after losing the opening leg, which suggests that the odds are stacked against the Gunners.

Despite competing for silverware in recent years, the pressure on Arteta is ramping up as the trophy cabinet in North London continues to gather dust.

Wednesday offers Arsenal an opportunity to take a step closer towards the biggest trophy in club football, but getting past this high-flying PSG outfit will take every ounce of their ability.

Here we pick out some of our best tips for this juicy European meeting, and if you put it into a Betway bet builder you’ll get odds of around 10/1.

The opening match between these two only produced one goal. We expect the second to see a lot more goalscoring action.

Firstly, Arsenal have nothing to lose at this point and are free to go on the offensive from the first whistle.

Secondly, PSG on home turf are a dangerous force and we expect them to cause their fair share of damage.

With all that in mind, we’re going with over 2.5 goals and both teams to score as our opening two bets.

The first leg also produced a total of nine shorts on target. Considering we expect a far more action-packed encounter the second time round, we’re going with 10+ shots on target at around the 10/11 mark.

Lastly, we’re backing PSG’s dangerman Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to cause Arsenal some serious problems.

The Georgian forward grabbed an assist at the Emirates, marking his second goal contribution in three Champions League games. We’re backing the 24-year-old to chip in with either a goal or assist on Wednesday night.
