Nottingham Forest have signed winger Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea on a three-year deal - and have also snapped up Bologna captain Nicolas Dominguez on a five-year contract.

Hudson-Odoi made 126 appearances for Chelsea and has won three caps for England.

The 22-year-old became Forest’s third signing on deadline day, following the loan signing of Arsenal defender Nuno Tavares and the arrival of Argentina midfielder Domínguez from Bologna on a five-year contract.

Dominguez joins in a deal which sees Remo Freuler move in the opposite direction.

Midfielder Dominguez, 25, has played 11 times for Argentina since making his international debut in September 2019.

“It feels amazing to join a club with so much history in England and the Premier League,” Dominguez told the Forest website.

“I watched the game Forest played against Sheffield United, I saw the fans in the stadium and it attracted me. I’m over the moon and keen to embrace this challenge.”

Tottenham agree fee for Wales forward

Elsewhere, Tottenham have agreed a fee in excess of £45million for Nottingham Forest forward Brennan Johnson.

Spurs had made the Wales international their number one target following the sale of Harry Kane and looked to have got their man after reportedly agreeing a price with Forest.

Johnson will now undergo a medical, with there expected to be no complications in the deal going through before the 11pm deadline.

The 22-year-old was a key player in Forest’s Premier League survival last season, scoring eight goals and notching three assists in a struggling side.

Forest, who turned down two bids from Brentford for their homegrown player, will be able to satisfy Financial Fair Play requirements with the sale, due to Johnson’s development at the club.

His pace and ability to stretch defences will appeal to Spurs, who have been keen on him for some time.
