Manchester United unsure of when Cristiano Ronaldo will return after second day of missing training

Amid rumours of Cristiano Ronaldo wanting to move on from Manchester United, the Portuguese forward is yet to turn up to the club's pre-season training.

Cristiano Ronaldo has missed a second day of Manchester United's pre-season training, with the Portuguese forward absent from Tuesday's session at Carrington.

Ronaldo scored 24 goals for the Red Devils last campaign, but the side fell short of winning silverware and qualifying for the Champions League.
As a result, it's widely reported that Ronaldo is heading for the exit at Old Trafford, with the 37-year-old eager to finish his career playing in Europe's elite competition.

Just 12 months after signing a two-year deal with United, Ronaldo is now eyeing up a move to Premier League rivals Chelsea, while Juventus, Barcelona and Napoli have also been linked with a move.

Ronaldo's absence from United's pre-season training has only ramped up the rumours, with CR7 now missing two consecutive days at Carrington, citing family reasons.

Instead, Ronaldo has reported to training facilities in his native Portugal.
United's pre-season training started in late June, but all international players were to report to the club for Monday, July 4.
Erik ten Hag's squad is scheduled to fly out to Thailand to begin their pre-season tour on Friday, and the Dutchman has now been left in the dark as to whether he'll be joined by Ronaldo or not.
United are set to add both Tyrell Malacia and Christian Eriksen to their squad later this week, but Ronaldo's imminent departure leaves the Red Devils short in attacking options.
