Manchester United news: 'Soft decision' cost Red Devils at Burnley, says Ralf Rangnick

Man Utd fail to make chances count again as Rangnick expresses familiar frustrations.

Ralf Rangnick was unhappy with the officials for what he described as "a soft decision" against his side in Manchester United's 1-1 draw with Burnley.

Man Utd had the ball in the net three times in the first half but only one, scored by Paul Pogba, was allowed to stand.
Raphael Varane had a goal ruled out due to Harry Magiure being offside, and a Josh Brownhill own goal was also chalked off because Pogba was adjudged to have fouled Erik Pieters in the build-up.
Soon after the break Jay Rodriguez levelled things up, and left Rangnick cutting a frustrated figure after the match.
"We scored three goals in the first half, I couldn't blame the team for not having a killer instinct in the first half," Rangnick told BT Sport.
"But yes, at the end, in the last 25 minutes as I said we had a lot of set-pieces, a lot of free-kicks, corner kicks. In the end it was also a little question of luck, with (a chance for) Rafa Varane, the header of Cristiano Ronaldo, the header of Harry Maguire.
"But again, in the end, one point for a performance like this is just not enough."
"I watched it right now in the locker room and the linesman flagged for a foul (on Pogba), but flagged 10 seconds after the incident and this was a very soft decision I must say," he said.
"But again, we played an excellent first half. I thought we controlled and dominated the game. We scored three goals, but two were disallowed and then the second half, the first 15 to 20 minutes, we were just not aggressive enough."
